Are Autodesk the most diverse software company in the world?

Autodesk 3D Printed Boy

A few weeks ago I set my eyes on the Official 2014 Autodesk Showreel. It prompted me to think about what I wanted to do for a living as a teenager and where I have ended up now. It’s not where I intended to be, but not entirely dissimilar either. I’m still involved in design and engineering, while having a tonne of fun being involved with Autodesk and their products on a daily basis.

Think about it, how many other CAD software companies on this planet cover so many different industries and demonstrate as much prowess while doing it as Autodesk do. And now they have Pier 9, an incredible creative and manufacturing hub in San Francisco. As well as the CAM powerhouse Delcam and their state of the art CNC Research and Development center. I challenge any other software company to make a video showcasing their technology and customer base as diverse & cool as this!

Make sure you watch it in 1080p…

As Autodesk continue to embrace the reality that their customer design stuff for the purpose of making it, and while Carl Bass continues to lead the company in the way it is. This truly is a very exciting time to be involved with Autodesk. I can’t wait to see what’s coming next.
